Undoubtedly the biggest update these shaders have ever seen, the fork had to be entirely remade from the new Complimentary 5.2.1 version. Here are the biggest changes:
- Distant Horizons is now supported (from Complimentary)
- Cinematic mode is now default (from Aurora)
- The vast majority of items, blocks, and entities that previously had partial illumination have had this removed to better match the shader's vanilla plus feel (from Aurora, thx Roseprose for suggesting removing command block partial illumination specifically)
- Made interiors look much better (from Aurora)
- Made signs more readable (from Aurora)
- Tweaked water, lava, the nether, and the end a little (from Aurora)
- Probably more stuff I'm forgetting
Confirmed compatibility with 1.20.5
-
Improved water for the Timelapse and Cinematic presets in numerous ways:
- Made water color look more vanilla-ish.
- Made water objectively BETTER by fixing a bug where shallow water would be much more transparent when viewed from a distance.
- Increased transparency for reflections.
-
Made lava buckets and tridents look better when held in the player's hand by making lighting consistent across their entire textures.
PS. I've tested these shaders with Distant Horizons, and they are functional but could use some polishing with the additional LODs.
It's the largest update yet!!! Thanks to everyone for 10,000 downloads

Completely revamped the look of the shaders
-
Added custom profiles to fit different scenarios:
Vanilla+: More or less the same v1.2.
PvP: Adds a world outline and makes dark areas (like caves and night time) easier to see, optimized for PvP gamemodes.
Timelapse: My new favorite. Basically Vanilla+ with a world outline and better graphics settings. Enabled by default.
Cinematic: Timelapse with realtime shadows.
Profiles can be found in the shaderpack settings
-
Made nights more visible and vanilla-like for all profiles.
IMPORTANT: If you have configured the shader settings on a prior version and are updating, you may need to click through the profiles list until it says "Timelapse" instead of "Custom" to experience the new update.
