Oxide adds an industrial quantity of new decorative iron blocks for you to build oppressive, dystopian, brutalist factories and estates to your heart's content, with the added bonus that all of your hard work will rust away when exposed to the elements.

...honestly we can both agree it looks nicer that way though, right?

The objectively cooler result of industrial scale negligence.

Originally a piece of Immersive Weathering, but has since been expanded and reimagined. The rusting process begins from contact with water, the rain or from adjacent rust, and is irreversible unlike copper oxidation. It is also possible to manually rust blocks by one stage using a wet sponge(which is not consumed for ease of use)

Vanilla iron blocks used to rust over time; this is no longer the case in Oxide, so you don’t have to worry about pre-existing builds becoming rusted.
