This update adds a brand new feature: The ability to set an initial spawn point.
Command is /initialSpawnPoint with usage analog to /globalSpawnPoint.
If an initial spawn is set a player that first joins the server will join at this position instead, overriding the default and global spawn points. This way new players can be spawned in a welcome or tutorial area (or I guess a spawn cage, if it's one of /those/ servers or are into that. I won't judge).
