Changelog
It's almost time for a full release! First however, here's a pre-release. This version comes with some MAJOR refactors and changes, so please note that existing worlds will likely not work properly on this new version.
CHANGELOG:
- Updated to the Aether's new Beta.6
- Retextured a WIDE variety of the mod's textures
- Large-scale codebase cleanup and removal of (most) unused textures
- Added configuration options to disable generation of any of the biomes
- Replaced the Splitbloom with a new chromatic flower, the Iridia
- Made general improvements to all biomes (except for the Frosted Forests, expect some improvements there in a future update!)
- Renamed Volitite to Vitrium
- Added new, custom breaking, placing, stepping, and falling sounds for Glowstone. Expect more of these in the future, but for Aether blocks!
- Changed the textures of Prismatic Leaves to be more blossom-y, and removed Prismatic Fruit Leaves
- Added Chromatic Berry Bushes and Chromaberries, which are the replacements for Prismatic Fruit Leaves and Prismatic Raspberries
- Renamed Highfields Flower Patches to Prismatic Petals and added two new variants
- Replaced the Zyatrix with the Gilded White Rose, a variant of the base mod's White Rose (White Flower)
- Replaced the Vallyx with the Frosted Nightbloom, a variant of the base mod's Nightbloom (Purple Flower)
- Replaced Mini Pancakes with Oat Muffins
- Removed Skyroot Sap for now, it may return in some other form in the future
- Updated the existing Data Conditions system to be more data-driven
- Added tags for biomes with the various different biome modifiers
- Added vines to Gilded and Golden Skyroot Trees
- Removed the Highfields Forest (the Highfields biome remains in the mod, however)
- Added a denser, more wooded variant of the Gilded Groves, called the Gilded Thicket
- Added a few advancements
- Added particles to various leaf blocks, along with replacing the existing ones for Golden/Gilded Skyroots
- Made some large changes and improvements to the Cloudcap Jungle biome, including new giant mushrooms, making Sprouting Lightroots single blocks and adding double-height Cloudcap mushroom plants
- Removed Blightberry Bushes, you can now get the Blightward effect from a new food item dropped by Glowsprouts
- Added a new icy weapon, the Subzero Crossbow (thanks to IcyCrystal for the suggestion and the textures!)
- Implemented a new recipe type that is used by right-clicking an item in your inventory while hovering over it holding an Ambrosium Shard. This recipe system is used for Veridium Tools and the new Glowbuds item.
- Removed Prismatic Leaf Piles, Gilded and Golden Skyroot Trees now have leaf piles instead
- Added Blighted Skyroot Trees, which now generate alongside Blightwillow trees in the Blight
- Altered the Blight biome's aesthetic
- Gave Blightwillow trees a new, unique shape
- Added boulders to the Blight
- Blightwillow Saplings are once again one block tall and no longer grow in Blighted Caves
- Fixed an age-old issue with certain plants spawning on top of blocks that they CAN be placed on, but are not intended to spawn on
- Temporarily removed the new noise built-in datapacks
- Rebalanced the density and rarity of many different worldgen features
- Split the Enchanted Aether Grass retextures from the Redux Nature pack into a new pack
- Added Vitrium Sand, a new gravity-affected block that generates in some biomes (this block may be expanded on in the future)
